Set in close to 2000 sq feet of cedar, oak and rhododendron in the splendid Himalayan foothills, the retreat hotel, overlooks the Kangra and Kullu Valleys and residence of HH the Dalai Lama amidst his community in exile from Tibet. This beautiful corner of India has the snowcapped Dhauladhar mountains as a spectacular backdrop – with stunning views from the garden above Mcleodganj.
Relax in complete tranquility as there are no other hotels, shops or roads nearby to disturb the peace.

Join Deepika Mehta, KPJAYI Authorised Level 2 teacher, in her favourite secret spot in the Himalayas in McLeodGanj, Himachal Pradesh.

This retreat is a perfect opportunity to deepen your Ashtanga Yoga practice,
focus on your fitness, health and wellness. Due to its intimate setting with limited students only, Deepika will be able to work with you and to help you deepen your practice.
Start each morning with an Ashtanga Yoga session followed by a healthy brunch on the lawns with blue skies and crisp, clean mountain air. There will be workshops each afternoon, meditation, pranayama and active visualisation techniques. You will find time to journal- set goals, let go of stuff, silence and enjoy nature.
Every day you will go for hikes to different beautiful spots and on the last two days do an intense but beautiful and gorgeous trek to Triund. From the top of the mountain you can see the snow-line.
All your meals are included and it will always be healthy and yummy food curated by Deepika. The produce is all locally grown and sourced and is high on Prana. Weather permitting we will close the last night with a bonfire. This is a great opportunity to deepen your practice in an intimate group setting. It’s a great location and a fantastic private location on top of a hill.

Getting There:

By Air
Dharamsala does not have an airport of its own. The nearest airport is at Gagal, which is 13 kms away and an approx one hour drive by taxi. This airport links Dharamsala with other cities of India.  Taxis will be organised by us for you (payment direct to cab driver) to take you directly from Gaggal Airport to the hotel.

By Rail
Dharamsala does not have a railway station of its own. The nearest railhead is at Pathankot (Chaki Bank), a comfortable overnight journey from Delhi. A taxi from Pathankot to McLeod Ganj takes about 3 hours. You can also take Bus which is most of time packed and crowed. By bus it is about 4hrs journey to Dharamsala.

By Bus

Mcleodganj has good connections with other parts of North India, although the journeys are often slow due to the narrow winding roads in the hills. The main bus terminal is in Lower Dharamsala, but some public HRTC buses to Delhi and Pathankot go all the way to the main square of McLeod Ganj, where you can also book advance tickets for the return trip. Unreserved HRTC buses from Pathankot cost Rs.75 and take 3/4 hours to Dharamsala/McLeod Ganj. Many private bus companies are available for travel from Manali, Dehradun and Delhi. Overnight buses from Delhi, many private ones leaving from the Tibetan colony of Majnu ka Tilla, take upwards of 13 hours and cost anywhere from Rs. 450 for a basic bus to Rs. 830 for a plush Volvo.

Please note this retreat is not for beginners and you should have an Ashtanga Yoga Mysore Practice and also love fitness as its an active holiday retreat.

Namaste! We look forward to having you join us for this retreat.
